Dr. Bassem Bastorous

My name is Dr. Bassem Bastorous and I earned my B.Sc of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. My entrepreneurship began in early 2000 in the form of a poultry farm and at the same time I joined the Bristol-Mayer's-Squibb Pharmaceutical Company. My family and I moved to Edmonton in 2012 where I studied for my qualification certificate which I earned in 2016 becoming a licensed Veterinarian in both Canada and the United States. I have volunteered with many organizations such as Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force, Edmonton Humane Society, Sherwood Veterinary hospital and Windermere Veterinary hospital for 2 years. In 2016 I began practicing in emergency hospitals.

I am now a co-owner of the Southfort Veterinary Clinic and have an interest in many areas of veterinary medicine including Small Animal Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Companion Animal Dentistry. The part I love most about my job is dealing with challenge cases, working with my team, and putting smiles on my clients' faces.
